I went to Burnham when it was really cold in the Winter with an icy wind. I wanted to capture the cold bleak feeling with the sea miles out, pools of water in the sand and people digging for bait which to me somehow has the feel of a Thomas Hardy novel. I love the idiosyncratic lighthouse on the beach.
